Founded in 1974, Chilwell Karate Dojo is proud to be one of the longest-established karate clubs in Nottingham. With over five decades of continuous teaching, we have built a strong reputation for excellence, tradition, and personal development.
Our school has guided countless students on their journey from beginner to black belt and beyond. Many of our members have also achieved success in competition, representing Great Britain at both European and World Championship level. Our International Affiliations
We are proud members of the Shotokan Karate International Federation (SKIF), one of the world’s leading Shotokan karate organisations. Established in 1978, SKIF operates in more than 130 countries and is recognised globally for its high technical standards, international seminars, and prestigious competitions.

Our Heritage and Leadership
Our teaching follows the legacy of the late Shiro Asano, 10th Dan and former Chief Instructor of Great Britain and Europe, whose dedication helped shape generations of karate practitioners.
The school is led by Chief Instructor Pasq Mura, 7th Dan, an accomplished competitor who has won gold medals at World, European, and National championships. His experience, knowledge, and passion ensure students receive instruction of the highest standard.
